Things I Did in March 2016

How is it the last day of March already, I know I say it every year, but this year really is flying by! Soon I would've finished my A-levels and (hopefully) will be moving to Bournemouth uni, urgh so much stress but so much to look forward to, but let's stick to the present for now. Lol get it... because the picture for this post is a present? No? okay I'll just leave..

March is definitely my favourite month because it's my birthday month and this year Easter too! Which meant eating an obscene amount of chocolate and living in my PJ's yay!

Easter

Yes it looks like a stupid amount of chocolate, just remember I have four greedy brothers plus extended family. I'm not particularly religious, but I love it because Easter = Holidays. However being an A-Level student means my holiday consists of making mind-maps and cue cards. I really loved this Easter in particular because my hungover self was woken up with a Maccy D's, keeping it classy Claudia. But me and my brothers played in the garden, did a few obstacle courses and just had a lot of fun. We tried out Kieran's new portable speaker in the garden and played Rossini's 'William tell overture final' which made the boys racing around on space hoppers pretty hilarious! The Easter break so far has been really lovely, eating loads of chocolate sitting on the sofa watching Teen Wolf is just what I needed.

Lebanese Food

For my birthday meal we went to a Lebanese restaurant called Lona, if you're from Bristol and want to go it's on Gloucester Road! It's some of the best food I've had in a while, you have the option to order specific, separate meals but we opted for the 'special round' option where you order for the amount of people and you get a platter of pretty much everything! And omg it's delicious, they had prawns, lamb chops, couscous etc. It was my first time trying Lebanese food and I can't wait to go back!

Beechenhurst Lodge, Forest of Dean

On the weekend me, dad and the lil stobs took a trip to Beechenhurst Lodge. We sang along to dad's Crowded House album, went on the Stickman Trail and I even brought along a cadburys packet of creme eggs so we had an early Easter egg hunt among the trees and this amazing den! We proudly sat in the den after scoffing our chocolate eggs pretending that we'd built this beast of a den to passers-by. This lil trip was a March favourite because it was really refreshing to spend time with the fam in the middle of no where with no signal or 4G (or even 3G, how do they survive!!) so I couldn't get distracted by my phone.

18th Birthday

I woke up to this outside my bedroom and was greeted with hugs, parma ham and reeses peanut butter cups, bit of an odd breakfast but I loved it. I had my birthday on a Wednesday, so luckily I only had the morning in sixth-form. Had bday lunch at Las Iguanas with my mum, Anya and some family friends. I ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri eagerly holding my ID and didn't even get ID'd! But now it makes sense since I had a giant 'Happy 18th' on my cake... Even got a free cocktail as well with a candle! Went home had a dominoes with everyone, ate it for lunch the next day too and LOTS of cake. I pretty much had a slice of cake everyday for over a week, thank god for my fast metabolism! I had such a lovely birthday and feel so grateful for everyone in my life, oh so soppy! Ended the birthday celebrations with a trip to Thekla with my friends. If you're not from Bristol or familiar with Thekla, it's a really cool club/bar on a boat! It makes me feel 'proper bristolian' when I'm on it - aye-aye captain.
